Tessica Dooley - Principal

It’s a hearty welcome back for Tess Dooley who returns to Haynes Benefits PC in Lee’s Summit after years of serving as counsel and professor around the country. 

 

Dooley is proficient in health care reform, health and welfare compliance, insurance and plan administration and has rejoined the firm to add another layer of expertise and knowledge to the already talented Haynes team. 

 

Before joining Haynes Benefits PC, she was Regional Vice President of Compliance for a nationally renowned insurance brokerage firm where she supported and advised consultants and account management teams regarding internal and client health and welfare benefit plan compliance. She has served as in-house counsel for a Fortune 500 and S&P 500 corporation, with a primary focus in employee benefits law, during her five-year tenure with the corporation. She has also served as a Visiting Instructor in Legal Studies, as well as the Interim Pre-Law Center Director at the University of Illinois in Springfield. 

 

Tess is a member of the State Bar of Arkansas and has served in various leadership roles for the Arkansas Bar Association including the Board of Governors, Young Lawyers Executive Council, and co-chair of the Membership Development Committee. She is currently a member of the Association of Corporate Counsel and has served on the Employment and Labor Law, Health Law and Compliance and Ethics Committees. Tess earned her B.A. from University of Central Arkansas and her J.D. from William H. Bowen School of Law in Little Rock, Arkansas.   

 

Tess enjoys teaching legal courses as a part-time adjunct professor, mentoring youth and conducting joint research projects with her husband Dr. T. Price Dooley. Tess and her husband welcomed their first child in December 2015. Tess works remotely from Memphis, Tennessee, where she resides with her husband and son David.
